This is accomplished through various investigative strategies such as prolonged investigations in areas most affected by specific crimes, surveillance of target areas, and joint operations with numerous municipal, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies when appropriate. We also endeavor upon an aggressive community policing strategy dealing with quality of life issues.

The Lyndhurst Police Department is not only highly committed to solving crimes but maintains a high desire to unify and prevent future incidents. In addition, the detectives encourage the sharing of information with members of the public. Many investigations are initiated as well as solved through this type of cooperative effort.
